2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma of fruits, berries, charcuteries, and mineral, with hints of chocolates. Taste of chocolate, citrus, some metal, and hints of isterband. Categorized as a doppelbock, but I consider the 6,7% alcohol quite low and prefer the label "winter bock", as stated by the brewery.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle/ Pour a dark black/velvety. It is full bodied and sweet and bold. it is very fruity and maybe some molasses, figs, and small amount of burnt caramel(good burnt). The balance is good because maltyness exists too! The alcohol is masked well and there is just the right amount of hops.

Bottle shared. Pours dark brown with light brown head. Have drank this before but never rated. The aroma is deep sweet malty and hints of caramel. Hints of roasted malts as well. The flavor is immaculate lots of sweet malts blended with some roastiness and caramel. A smooth yet slick mouth feel. No bitterness at all.

500ml bottle, pours clear nearly black dark mahogany with a large slowly reducing beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and raisins. Taste of roasted malts, caramel, raisins and plums. Light sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture and moderate carbonation. A great well balanced Doppelbock, though would have liked the body somewhat fuller.
