Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Pours dark brown color with small head. I smell roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and dark bread. I taste all of the same, it’s sweet and better. Complex! Wow!! Great!!!!

Deliciosa, cheirosa, cremosa! Colarinho belíssimo, marrom. A cerveja bem tostada, fortes notas de café. Amargor é balanceado com um pouco de doçura que disfarça o álcool. Ótima carbonatação e textura. Merece muito repetir!

330ml bottle, poured into 16oz tulip glass

Aroma: Dark malts, very malty, light caramel

Appearance: solid black, tan head

Taste: Heavy sweet, light bitter

Palate: medium to full body, creamy texture, average carbonation

Overall: Very malty, slight roasted malts. Very rich. Slight fruity or raisiny taste. Very sweet. The perfect example of a Doppelbock. A very slight chocolate taste. No hop aroma or bitterness. Very smooth and warming impression. Can’t taste the alcohol.

Bottle, 330 from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Pours reddish brown with off-white head. Malty caramel, ripe fruit, sweet, bit roasted. Complex. Good brew, but can’t say I’m impressed.

Pours deep copper from 12 oz bottle with full tan head. Malty, warm aroma. Tastes appropriately sweet with deep complex malty flavor to follow, hints of figs, plums, chocolate. Not much on the hops. Warm alcoholic mouthfeel with full body. Fantastic beer from a legendary brewery. Not designed for mass consumptions, though beer doesn’t get much better than this.

33cl bottle at O menu café bar in Sintra, Portugal. It pours a dark-brown colour with a bubbly beige head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is very smoky, dark fruits, caramel, molasses, syrup, herbs and some oaks. Taste is sweet, caramel, smoked stuff, raisins, syrup, dark fruits, plums and a little hoppy. It has a medium to low body with average carbonation with a slight dry and hoppy finish. Definitely one of the best German beers I’ve tasted. I will drink this again in the future.

Smoky, fruity aroma. Dark fruits, herbs, roasty malt and some hops. Pours dark brown translucent liquid with a white head that disappears quickly. Bitter in the taste with a very malty and definitely "dark" flavour, smoky and dry with a hint of fruit. Definitely has some wine characteristics. The alcohol is not too noticable and blends well with the flavour to create a nice balance. Full body with an oily texture and a bitter and dry finish. Definitely a good strong beer for celebrations and other events, which judging by the name it was meant for.

Dark blue-brown colour with small head. Aroma of dark fruits, bananas, hebs. Taste of hops, dark fruits, bananas, malts. Nice malty aftertaste which is very well balanced. Overall: Justifiable is this beer on the first place in this rang.

No bottling date visible but I’ve had this since January. Color is opaque ruby-black, head is only some thin lacing. Smell is rich savory malt, molasses, roasted coffee, chocolate syrup, soy sauce. Drinks easily. Dry fruity cocoa flavor, smoky, rich malty savory character. Really great character and versatile too.

Bottle. Dark ruby red with a thick brown bubbly head. Aroma of nuts, caramel, dark fruits, hint of smoke. Taste of nuts, dark fruits, maple syrup, slight metallic finish, not much sign of the alcohol. Light body, medium to heavy carbonation. Very easy drinking.
