COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

11.2oz bottle poured into glass: Aroma is bread/toast malt forward with notes of caramel and dark fruit. No burnt or roasted aroma. Head retention is very good. Light brown/tan head with mixed sized bubbles. Beautiful deep red hues shine through with brilliant clarity. Without light dark brown. Sweetness prevalent from lack of bitterness spot on. Carbonation tingles the tongue. Strong toast followed by bread, caramel, and lingering specialty malt sweetness.

Bottle. Dark amber, red in colour, white head. In aroma malty, melanoidin notes, also bread, dried fruits and some chocolate?! In taste caramel, toasted malt, fruitsŁ raisins and plums. Medium bodied, oily in texture, medium carbonated with medium bitterness at the end. Really well done beer.

330 ml. bottle from Malt Attacks. Shared @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. A very, very long time want. I have been wanting to try this one since forever. BBF 09/2015. Dark ruby amber, little tanned head. Nose is rather umami, fish guts, DE lager profile with lots of sugar, malty, umami, note takes a bit away from it for me, light nuts & oxidation. Taste is big umami, fish guts, DE yeast, strong DE lager with a reasonable amount of sugar sweetness, spices & herbs figure big time, quite herbal, umami,… Typical body for the style. Seeming faint oxidation. I am not the biggest fan of this king of profile. Looking at my rating, I am not a particularly big fan of doppelbock’s in general. Decent but I would have loved to have enjoyed this more. Bummer.

The nose never lies and this beer’s pear dropish deep prune bouquet is everything this beer sould be. Dark rich brown in colour with perfect carbonation and a smooth body with good sap makes this such a stupidly easy beer to love. An undisputed world classic which should be way ahead of all those Frankenstein beers on the ratebeer Top 250.

Does not get much better than this beer when fresh. On tap at Ayinger Munich. Aromas of dried fruits such as plums and cherries, toasted malt, caramel, with hints of chocolate, licorice, Clear dark amber to brown with beige head that lingers and laces.Flavors of caramel, toast, bread, raisin, plum, with hints of umami. Mouthfeel is medium but light for a DB making it the most drinkable DB out there.Carbonation is medium high. Balanced medium finish. Wow!!

Brown/red with bubbly tan head. Nose is German malts, creamy, raisin, maybe a hint of smoke. Taste matches, dark malty, some dark fruits, brown sugar, almost a toffee on the finish, a hint of smoke. Tastes very German, both yeast hop and malt profile are classic doppelbock. Creamy yet thinish mouthfeel. Very good

Bottle thnx to biersmurfke. Pours dark, very dark clear caramel brown. Smell is earhty leaves, bit caramel. Taste is rather bitter. Sharp, yet elegantly complex.... High carbo. Very rich, but all aspects are subtile. An agreeable beer, to say the least. I am obligated to admit that i am impresse, given the fact these styles of beer are not my favorite.
