COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Tap at Beergeek. Very rich malty beer, balanced. Dried fruits, woody, caramel, dark fruits. On the malty side but does not seem cloying. Quite good, excellent.

Pours deep dark brown with thick brown head that quickly disappears. Nose is milk and chocolate. Aromas are roasted malts, coffe, cocoa, caramel. Average carbonation, medium body. Medium sweet and roasty finish. Very easy drinkable!

This is one of my favorite brews. I doubt I ever rate any brew as perfect and that is my only reason to not do so with this rating. The strong sweet malt flavor is excellent. Pours a short tan head that refrains from dissipating completely leaving a foam ring around the glass that coats the glass and laces nicely. Simply a very attractive glass of beer that is pleasant to drink from the first swallow to the last.

A dark brown colour with a nice head. The aroma is malty and bready, maybe a little nutty, some caramel. The malts and bread continue with the taste which also has some sweetness and dried fruits. The finish is a bit bitter and the rounded palate finishes the beer nicely. Overall a lovely doppelbock with some complexity in it, great for any occasion.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Reddish tinged deep brown colour, beige foam head and aroma of molasses, malt, caramel, bready. Taste is bready, malty, sweetish, some brown sugar, raisins, caramel, spice, nutty bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy nutty finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle at home from brewdog online. A deep ruby red, caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Attractive beer. Aroma is sweet malty bready malts, rounded malts, cola cubes, tangy dried fruits, rye bready, brown bready, tangy apple. Flavour is composed of rich layered malts, rye bread, cakey, malt loaf, dried fruits, apple and cranberry. Little toasted rye bread lingers in the finish. Palate is medium full, rounded, frothy, slightly velvety. A wonderful celebration of malt. Lovely.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2016 The bottle says Ayinger Winter Bock which, according to RateBeer, is an alias for the famed Celebrator. Pours dark chestnut brown from the bottle. The sand colored head quickly collapses, leaving creamy and whispy lacing that lingers for the duration. Aroma is burnt caramel, malty, and not much else, but admittedly I was outside and it was a windy day. Taste is lots and lots of rich, sweet caramel malt with strong roasted notes and a dark fruit undertone. A light bitterness arises at the finish. Full bodied and robust - the beer is not afraid to make a statement. Good stuff.

Appearance: brown to black color. Deep black liquid. Frothy brown head. Aroma: smoked meat, date, chocolate, raisins. Taste: some bitterness (the burned kind) balanced with candy sweetness. Palate: medium body. thin texture. flat carbonation. smoky finish. Overall: complex doppelbock would go well with barbeque.
