Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

A beautiful doppelbock. Makes one pine for Munich during Fasching. TWO rams on this label, plus another draped on the neck!

Pours a deep dark brown with big khaki head. Fragrant, dark aromas of forest floor, 55% chocolate, roasted cereals and gingerbread dough. Medium bodied palate. Complex and tasty with almost zero alcohol heat. Decent finish. Very nice.

Aroma: strong roasted, honey, roasted walnuts. Taste: sweet with light bitternes. Flavour: malts, some rotten autumn leaves, many Mailard products, some grassy and flowery hops, licorice, some spicy (cinnamon) notes. Very good, but under expectations.

I like the malty sweetness in this. It really masks the alcohol well. It is a darker, heavier beer, but really good. I would definitely get this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
