330 ml bottle. Deep reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Sweet aroma of roasted malts, with prunes and raisins. Flavour is like the aroma: sweet dark fruits and roasted malts. Smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Nice warm aftertaste.

Oct 11, 2008 Pours deep deep cola brown with no head (maybe too cold). Beautiful port-like aroma. SLightly sweet, a little raisiny, and lots of alcohol. Mouthfeel is smooth, deep cich caramel taste that develops more on the finish. Delicious beer.

Oct 8, 2008 Pours a light brown. Excellent lacing. Sweet aroma. Excellent palate on this beer. Very smooth. Picking up some sweet brown sugar in the initial taste.

Oct 7, 2008 Dark amber brown with a tan head. Malty with a raisin taste. Extremely rich, but easy to drink. Best Doppel I’ve ever had.

Oct 4, 2008 Poured from an 11.5oz bottlle. Dark brown with a bit of red when held up to a bright light source. Thick, longlasting, tan head. Aroma of malt with a hint of raisins. Very thick malty taste with a nice hop balance on the finish. This is my first experience with a doppelbock. I can’t imagine one that could be better.
