COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

One of my favorite Lagers. Pours very dark almost black. Extremely smooth and very drinkable. Easily one of my favs. A must try.

Bom equilíbrio entre dulçor/caramelo e amargor/torrado do malte. Sensação de álcool perceptível. Bom custo/benefício.

Bottle. Deep, very dark brown pour with a dense mocha head. Aroma is molasses, raisins, toffee, a hint of smoke. Flavour is rich but not strong - dense and complex, but not overly sweet. Perfect light carbonation and a light dry finish. Beautifully made doppelbock.

Large light brown lasting foam sets at an almost black beer, but even if the foam is compact and only slowly dwindling, so spreads a wonderful aroma of dark chocolate malt mixed hard roasted malt and cold mocha. The taste is potent of dark malt sweetness from chocolate, dark dried fruits and a hint of smoked malt. Light bitter notes of strong coffee carries it further to a bit nutty character until a slightly bitter hops in the end. Similar delicious doppelbocks is hard to find, and if I only had to pick one favorite beer among all the beers in the world, then comes celebrator definitely in my thinking.

On tap at Ayinger Braustuberl, august 2014. Deeo burgundy color, clear, big beige head. Toasted malts on the nose. Aroma of chocolate (milk chocolate), toasted malts, mild coffee, caramel, cane sugar, chestnut honey, tobacco. Fruity overtones. Only 6.7 ABV but this one reveals a massive body and power. Tast has a wonderful curve, full body, low carbonation. Ultra heavy, long finish, evenly dry and smoth. Best dunklerbock on earth? Guess so.

33 cl bottle, almost 1 year old, bought at the brewery for the scandalous price of 85 cents with its funny goat widget. Dark burgunfycolor with a big thick creamy beige head. Toasted malts upfront. As above: tasty burnt malts, dark bread, carrot, spices and whiskey. Finish tends toward the bitter side. Alcoholic finish, quite burning. A bit better fresh on tap, but still rocks.

Pours a dark brown-burgundy. Has a sweet malt and caramel aroma. Taste is very balanced with malt, fruits, caramel, light wood, and spices. A very balanced aftertaste of spices and fruity malts.

Poured into a taster showing coffee brown semi translucent rims and a dark center. The nose shows sweet sugar cane and very strong notes of steel tank here and there. The palate is full bodied and well carbonated. Showing the same aromas expressed as flavors with a coffee-like bitterness at the finish. Really was not impressed at the start and can’t say the palate is any better. Much too sweet and an aroma that is not very inviting. But this is the quintessential doppelbock.
