Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

What more can I add about Celebrator - its one of a kind and well lauded as it should be. Thick but not among the thickest, dark but amber or brown more than black. The head is thin and on the light side of carbonation. The flavor is complex, different with each sip, but to describe it you’d have to talk about the raisons, the roasted stout-like barley, and dark sugars without being ’sugary’. One of my staple beers that never dissapoints.

Dark brown color, with fragrant beige head. Notable and delicious aroma with signs of caramel, fruit (plums) and slightly spicy. Medium body. In mouth it is delicate, where the sweet of the caramel leaves space to an end of malt and coffee, with a touch of bitterness. She leaves the palate really satisfied. Big beer, delicate taste.

[bottle] Nice cerealy aroma with some sweet pumpernickel and bread crust. Almost clear dark brown under a beige foam. Flavour is sweet with cereal grains/pumpernickel/bread crust, but there is balancing bitterness and even a hint of hops character. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, slightly warming, sweet finish.

Bottle at home. Pours a rich mahogany with a deep tan tight head. Smells of caramel and dark chocolate. For a darker beer, it is surprisingly light on the tongue. Chocolate-coated hazelnut and sweet caramel finishing with pecans that linger for a while.

Aroma is major dark grape. Sweet brown sugar. Raisins. MAJOR toffee and molasses -- a taffy pull. Practically brewer’s wort. Appears glassy red-brown with foamy light brown head. Not bad. Tastes seriously sweet, heavy toffee and molasses. Not much else really. Lots of sweet malts. Just tons of malts. Aftertaste is better than the taste. Feels milky, oily, smooth. I wasn’t ready for this one. The sweetest beer of all time. A slow sipper. I would have liked some more balances.

33cl bottle: Pours a dark ruby red with a small, off-white head. The aroma is vinous, with toffee-chocolatey malts and dark fruits, sometimes even flowery but not aggressive and very inviting. Clean, bittersweet flavours of dark chocolate, obscure herbs and caramel with just a hint of roastiness. Thick and creamy mouthfeel, but not overly sweet, balanced by a pretty strong bitterness. The carbonation is a slight bit too fizzy and affects the smoothness of the beer. Really nice and drinkable Doppelbock.
