COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Has a nice hoppy taste mixed with a decent malt taste. Pretty expensive (3 dollars a bottle) but well worth it. Will get more and stock this one. Excellent!!!

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2012 Very roasty aroma with some milky hints. Pours to a deep dark brown color and large head. Taste is chocolate smoothness at first, almost brown ale-like, then some roast, burnt toast, and delicious bready malty finish. ABV hits a little too much in the sinuses afterward for my liking, but this is a doppelbock, so apparently that is pretty standard. Anyway, an excellent beer that all craft fans should try at least once.

Bottle bought at Beer Boutique, Putney, London. A dark brown almost black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, sweet dark fruit aroma. Tastes similar, sweet, dark fruit, roasty, malty, hint of bitterness. A complex doppelbock.

pour is extremely dark reddish brown with a tab head and a few large bubbles. The nose has very little roasted malt, may e none at all but there is something there akin, lots of berry sweetness, light bitterness and some marker. The taste is heavy in toffee and berry. Brown sugar and caramel and faint coffee bitterness. Mouthfeel is a touch slick, lighter than anticipated, nice carbonation, semi dry finish. Sweet but seemingly well attenuated and the bitterness fades with time. Toffee and berry start to blend. A touch singular but tasty.

Bottle @ home. Clear, dark reddish orange appearance with a decent sized brown head. Rich toasty caramel malty, somewhat grassy, light straw, dark fruity, plum aroma with a touch of grape. A bit smoky, roasty dark caramel malty, leather, dark fruity, slightly charred, caramelized sugary flavor. Not cloying like so many doppelbocks and more complex. Slightly smoky, charred aftertaste. Truly a pleasure to drink. I have no idea what it’s taken me three years since I last tasted this baby. Would love to try this against Andescher’s offering.

Pours a deep brown with a beige head that dissipated quickly. Faint aromas of chocolate, raisins, and some bread. Tastes very creamy with a nice balance of roasted chocolate malts and yeast. Blankets the mouth and is silky smooth. It’s lightly carbonated and has a slight alcohol burn. This is a fantastic brew and the one to which all dopplebocks are measured.

This is the first one of this style I have had. Looks great, like an imperial stout. Not much of an aroma. Nice and thick. Slight taste of raisin. Mouthfeel and appearance of an imperial stout, but not as flavorful. Reminds me of Beck's Dark, but stronger with less carbonation. I would certainly buy again.... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice sweet and rich brew. The pour is a dark brown, mostly opaque with a thin wisp of bubbly beige head. The nose is sweet and molasses centric with big nutty and toffee notes. Syrupy and rich flavor with molasses coming through alot. The finish has medium bitterness and a lingering toasted malt and smoke finish. Overall, nice balanced doppel.
