Crisp and fruity taste, a little bitter. Very refreshing, easy to drink. Dedollewaitor (3625), Odense, Denmark Jul 10, 2009 50cl bottle @ Aying Brewery. Pours hazy yellow with a small creamy head and lacings. Fruity, grainy and dry. Extremely smooth and nice palate. Lively carbonation. Grassy and crispy taste. A bit harsh or rough , paper and grain - but well made brew. harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 21, 2009 500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. This was so good, my friend Alison, who knows not a lot about beer, thought it was so good, she bought 2 bottles of it. Very pale gold, with slight haze, thin white head. Wow. A slightly sharper than usual German beer. Light zesty wheaty rather surprising beer. Good though. Definite weisee actually more Belgian wit character. Interestingly light. austone (999), Turku; Pori, Finland May 20, 2009 Draught at Mallaskukko. Slightly hazy golden, small but firm white head. Clean malty nose with slight citric notes, yeastiness, alcohol, pear and apple fruitiness. Similarly alcoholic, herbal flavor, Strong lager -type fruitiness, solid bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied, really nice lively carbonation. That booziness disturbs me a bit, otherwise this’d be pretty refreshing. Ayinger could do better. mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland May 8, 2009 (Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2009-05-02) Yellow and hazy. Quite large and white head that lasts for a moment. Fruitiness and lightly yeast in aroma. Medium bodied and lightly dry palate wiht medium carbonation. Fruitiness, little bit of yeast, malts, sweetness, grass and bitterness in taste. Fruity and bitter aftertaste. ako (153), Turku, Finland Apr 21, 2009 (Tap @ Mallaskukko) "White", i.e. light hazy yellow with a white head. Sweet aroma has grass and citrus. Soft wheaty flavor, ever so slight grassy liquorice. Soft finish, slightly dry fruityness. darkseduction (198), Zweibrücken, Germany Apr 12, 2009 Bottle 50cl. Pours a muddy straw yellow coloured brew. Small white head. Rather dry taste, yeast dominating, Bitter hops in the finish. Rough. An average Zwickl, not bad but i expected more from this great brewery. wyzzywyz22 (754), Wirral, Merseyside, England Apr 6, 2009 Bottle, Dram Shop, Sheffield. Is it just me or is German beer just horribly over rated? This effort has done little to dispel that theory for me. Hazy yellow colour with a thin white head. Wheaty, soapy aroma. Malty, insipid, slightly sweetl flavour. Tedious stuff really.
