esox (128), Oulu, Finland May 11, 2008 Tapped. Minimal white head, some lace. Very blond yellow, slightly cloudy. Aromas are yeasty malts with spicy fruitness. Odour has almost faint lambic-like yeasty and malty notes. Also some bitterness in the finish. Flavor is a bit sour and has sweeter malt elements in the finish. Lively carbonation and medium body. Very well balanced and delicious beer with faint but diverse aromas and pleasant palate. I’ve always liked Ayinger beers but this was still a positive surprise. Hazy light yellow color, lace. Small creamy white head. Fruity aroma. Light to medium bodied. Bitter and hoppy taste but well-balanced with carbonation. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and oily. Afterwards comes some bitterness. Very refreshing, like Hoegaarden. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 25, 2008 in the bottle, thanks to hurrisnow. a chill-hazed straw colored gold with a thin white head. very grainy with a slight sulphur to the nose. crisp, clean in body. this is a warm-weather beer. it has a really nice yeasty grainy taste. it reminds me of chewing on barley husks. I would best describe it as a maibock without the bock. the finish has lemons. mirjukka (457), LOHJA, Finland Apr 28, 2008 keg at Gallows Bird Espoo
Color:light yellow bright, fizzy nice thick head
Scent:sweet malts ,bit hops
Taste:fresh fruity and hops: Maybe this happened to be mood thing again. I have tasted this now three times and once it tasted so delicious. I am not fan of lager beers at all! diabel (1211), Aarschot, Belgium Jun 3, 2006 Bottle - thanks to DerDoppelBock Pale, yellow body with a white frothy head. The head disappears rather fastly and almost totally. Aroma of hops, soap. Nice bitter flavour becoming more bitter in the end. Definitely not that brilliant, but definitely a nice German beer.
