2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 flying_pig (337) - SCOTLAND - SEP 9, 2011
Bottle brought home from Germany:
Skunky metallic aroma along with a lot a grain. There is also some subtle grassy hops & some malts but grain seems to feature the most.
Light golden colour with lots of bubbles & a huge foamy white head with outstanding retention & some lacing on the glass.
Matches the smell quite closely with lots of grain featuring in the taste as well. There is some grassy hops & the addition of a sweet sort of lemony taste to it that isn’t in the smell.
Light to medium & the beer has an overall fluffy feel to it that is different to most beers out there. Not so much great but certainly different & enjoyable enough. There is also plenty of carbonation without being overly gassy.
I’m rather disappointed in this one really, I think I managed to build it up to much in my head before trying it & ultimately I was going to be disappointed. Not a bad beer, just bad by German standards.

Thanks Sammer! Vanilla and wheat. Very drinkable. This would go very will with a Chicago pizza. Then it would expand in your stomach, and you would hate life.

500ml Bottle. Appearance is clear, golden yellow color with light, fizzy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and somewhat citrusy. Taste is pretty sweet, hints of cookies, cereal, and citrus hops. Very light bitterness. Palate is light- to medium-bodied, slick texture, fizzy carbonation, and a long, sweet finish.

Nagyon finom kis ivósör, ismételni tudom magam, el se tudtam képzelni, hogy ilyen finom egy igazi Helles.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sinte (184) - udine, ITALY - NOV 19, 2010
Bottle 0.5 L.
Clear golden body, with a medium, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing
with a fair lacing. Large density of average-sezed bubbles.
Moderate-to-strong malty (cereals, grains, bread) aroma with some note of hops (flowers).
Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour, nicely balanced by a moderate bitter note in the long lasting finish.
Medium body with an oily texture; soft carbonation; maybe there’s a very light metallic feeling in the finish.
Not a complex beer, but aroma anf flavour are vere intense. Very
satisfactory.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 rdawson321 (145) - USA - MAY 2, 2006
Very drinkable... but although I’ve never had it before, I felt like I’d tried it 100 times. Nothing too special, but it would be a good session beer. Light and smooth.

Reviewing from Notes. I had this beer during Oktoberfest 2010 in Munich. An amazing experience.
Serving type: Served on draft at the Ayinger Haus across from Hoffbrau
A - Nice and clear. Not a whole lot to note. True to style. Huge white head much of a head that stays with you throughout the beer.
S - Slight yeast notes and maybe some floral notes. Really subtle if any..
T - Nice and Crisp. One thing I noticed immediately was the lack of yeast notes. It was really fresh but didn’t taste unfinished and too young like the wheat at Hacker. This might be a batch to batch issue. Not a whole lot of citrus or hop but defiantly present. Not a lot of huge flavors on this but true to style and easy to drink.
M - Light body not a whole lot of note. Mid to Low carbonation.
D - This is just a personal thing but I find this to sit heavy on my stomach. They drink really well as they are light and crisp but for some reason I didn’t find myself wanting more than one.

One of the Best Münchener Hell Type! Nice delicious malty, corny and hoppy aroma. In palate is clear maltiness, with typical touch of sweetiness of malt for Homelly - Münchener Hell Lager Type. Medium body, spicy and minty fresh dryness of hops. Long, clear malty and corny finish with hints of minty and grassy hops. Fresh carbonation (fresh und spritzig). Typical special Ayinger-schmack. Best served in the Centre of Ayinger Village in brewery biergarten Liebhard´s Keller (fresh drought). All products from Ayinger are ones of the best beers in Bayern. All categories (Hell, Export, Weiss, Ur-Weiss, Doppelbock).
