One of the Best Münchener Hell Type! Nice delicious malty, corny and hoppy aroma. In palate is clear maltiness, with typical touch of sweetiness of malt for Homelly - Münchener Hell Lager Type. Medium body, spicy and minty fresh dryness of hops. Long, clear malty and corny finish with hints of minty and grassy hops. Fresh carbonation (fresh und spritzig). Typical special Ayinger-schmack. Best served in the Centre of Ayinger Village in brewery biergarten Liebhard´s Keller (fresh drought). All products from Ayinger are ones of the best beers in Bayern. All categories (Hell, Export, Weiss, Ur-Weiss, Doppelbock).

My Bottom Line :
Citrusy and herbal hops ride this Helles’s rolling effervescence, as malts slowly but surely sculpt straw-like flavors.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A wavy head of foam covers the clear, dark golden.
-The mouthfeel on this one may not be as polished as Andechser’s Helles or Augustiner’s for that matter, but it is still cushy and packed with character.
-This is obviously balanced and süffig.
-This is the kind of brew I would love to get to know better. Alas, I cannot get it this fresh across the pond…
On tap and from the gravity cask at Ayinger Speis und Trank, Munich.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2011 Pretty much everything you want out of a helles. Golden color with a nice white head, pleasant smell. It has a smooth, rich malty taste with a suprise of noble hoppiness. This is the kind of Helles that doesn’t need special attributes, it is just tasty and high-quality, nothing else needs to be said.Gotta drink it fresh.

Beautiful golden. Slight gras aroma, fullbodied and with good bitternes as opposed to the many malty sweet helles in bavaria.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2007 I found the aroma to be almost non existant. Perhaps my chilled glass inhibited its aroma. the taste was sweet and crisp and a smooth finish. This is a very good helles.

Clear mid-gold clear with fluffly short lasting head. Faint Fruity hops, doughy malt and 2 day old chickens aromas. Moderate to light body with overall nicely balanced bitter-sweet palate. Bitter start followed by a maltier sweet and bitter middle and back to more bitter on the finish. I could easily go a couple more of these no problem - a pity I only bought one more.
