| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2002 Beautiful golden. Slight gras aroma, fullbodied and with good bitternes as opposed to the many malty sweet helles in bavaria. Crafty07 (398), Florence, Kentucky, USA

Perhaps my chilled glass inhibited its aroma. the taste was sweet and crisp and a smooth finish. This is a very good helles. OlJuntan64 (1267), Perth, Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 12, 2002 Clear mid-gold clear with fluffly short lasting head. Faint Fruity hops, doughy malt and 2 day old chickens aromas. Moderate to light body with overall nicely balanced bitter-sweet palate. Bitter start followed by a maltier sweet and bitter middle and back to more bitter on the finish. I could easily go a couple more of these no problem - a pity I only bought one more. kseecs16 (919), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Draft from the barrel at the Speis und Trank in Munich. This was surprisingly flavorful to me, had a spicy character and noticeable hops lending a sweet overtone. Very flavorful while remaining light and easily drinkable. Very smooth and creamy in the mouth. Aroma was mild with sweet malt mingling with noticeable hallertau hops. Appearance was hard to judge being in a stone stien, but had a big foamy white head.
