LilBeerDoctor (235), East Setauket, New York, USA Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours a beautiful golden yellow, somewhat cloudy, with a small white head. Aroma of sour fruits, barnyard funk. Taste slightly fruity, some sweetness, malt. Very crisp, clean, and refreshing. An excellent beer and very underrated on this site.

Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, toasted, fruity, peppery. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (060508) austone (242), Pori, Finland Jun 28, 2008 Light golden, fizzy white head. Dry hayish nose with hints of soap, quite clean. Flavor is hayish hops, clean maltiness, little honey, grain and flowers. Classy low bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. It’s just a clean & classy Helles. KeithD (177), Outer Space, Congo Jun 28, 2008 Another kick-ass Helles beer, lives up to all the stuff they say in their description. Biscuity heartiness, very subtle fruity complexity, cave-like earthiness, it’s all there. Very clean and drinkable. Ayinger makes quality stuff, this is the way beer was meant to be. This beer shoves a pyosified rat carcass into Gwen Stefani’s annoying mouth. Immy (1470), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jun 18, 2008 11.2 (?) oz bottle. Hazy gold with a thick white head. Sweet bready biscuit nose, a bit of citrusy lemon. Sweet, bready malt flavor, nice nip of sourness (almost like a sourdough) and citrus. Really a nice drinker - I liked this a lot!
