2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, provided by Dortmunder: thanks! A bit indifferent aroma, but the flavor has some more: hops, lots of apple and orange. Just the slightest hint of vinegar, cardboard and dust. Hoppy, citric, dusty aftertaste. Not bad, certainly not flawless, I guess I expected too much.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Flowery, fruity aroma. Herbal hops and flowery, fruity notes in the taste. Slightly sweet. Ends medium dry and herbal-hoppy. A really good kellerbier as it has enough of the taste features that come in unfiltered lager beers. Nice.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2009 @ the brewery’s Munich tap. Cloudy with a thick head. Herbal, hoppy, very appetizing nose. with good house character and quite a bit of fresh bread. Dry, malty, quite lean but retains some rusticity.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Only slighlty hazy. Golden body. Good head. Aroma and taste don't seem to differ too much from the usual lager. Anyway, the beer is good, tasty, drinkable, rather hoppy and with a nice bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 16, 2006 (Bottled) Hazy straw yellow color with a large, tight and lacy head. Sweetish, buttery/grassy-hoppy aroma with herbs. Softly buttery and malty, bitter, earthy and sweetish-fruity flavor with some sourness and hints of grass and honey. Soapy, acidic and bitter aftertaste. Medium-bodied, dryish and quite carbonated palate. A refreshing, complex countryside brew with similarities to golden Belgian strong ales (without the yeast poured in). Very nice.
