We brew Leichte Bräu -Weisse with the same high quality malt and hops as we use in Ayinger Bräu Weiss, just less of them. Our goal is to brew a beer with the delicious fruity wheat beer taste and low alcohol.

Draft at Ayinger Speiss und Tränk. Creamy white good fully lasting head. Amber cloudy colour. Powerfull yeasty aroma and nice flavor, average finish, one of the best Leicht hefe.

Pours a pale gold color with massive white foamy head. Constant bubbles rise in the the glass. This beer is full of fruit and yeast aromas with hints of banana. I enjoy the very Belgian qualities that this beer has. A great drink when the weather gets warm. Another accomplished beer from Ayinger.

Orange colored, hazy appearance. Medium yellow head. Yeast, mild banana, fruits in aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Watery flavor in start, mild yeast, banana and fruits in aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Too little flavor of traditional Weizen banana and yeast.

On tap at the Huber Haus. Pours an amazing cloudy light gold with a cloud-like white head. Aroma is delightfully fruity and banana-like. Flavor is at first overwhelming banana esters, followed by a yeasty bolus. Slightly tart at the finish, but mostly a smooth balanced light beer (not calorie light I’m sure). Great summer beer.

First, style is not "low alcohol", German hefeweizen should be much better.
Hazy dark orange color, big cloudy tanned head. Sweet berry (strawberries and rasberries) and yeasty aroma. Fruity, sweet, light-bodied, plain mouthfeel. Lacks some of the best Ayinger characters but still a decent weizen.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2006 (Bottled) Very hazy golden color with a huge, cloudy head. Banana-strawberry-fruity aroma with sourish wheat. Sourish, only slightly sweet flavor with wheat, fruit, and some belgian-style yeastiness and a lightly acidic finish. Light to medium-bodied palate with quite smooth carbonation. A very nice and balanced, refreshing weizen, considering the ABV! (Bottled, rated Jan 28, 2004, was 7-4-7-3-13=3.4) Murky golden color, big, foamy, white head. Smooth, yeasty, fruity (banana) aroma. Very smooth, creamy, carbonated palate. Sour and yeasty flavor. 3.2% is not exactly low-alcohol - would be better classified as weizen. Not as good and full-bodied as the excellent Bräu-Weisse, but still a very enjoyable brew.
