   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 14/20
sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 7, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 16, 2006 (Bottled) Hazy straw yellow color with a large, tight and lacy head. Sweetish, buttery/grassy-hoppy aroma with herbs. Softly buttery and malty, bitter, earthy and sweetish-fruity flavor with some sourness and hints of grass and honey. Soapy, acidic and bitter aftertaste. Medium-bodied, dryish and quite carbonated palate. A refreshing, complex countryside brew with similarities to golden Belgian strong ales (without the yeast poured in). Very nice.

lovibond (115) - New York, USA - NOV 27, 2002
Sampled this am Platzl and at the Brewery -- it doesn’t get fresher than that. And that’s what this beer is about. Slightly cloudy. Other than that, nothing particularly unusual or outstanding.

jonas (4588) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 2, 2002
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2003 Re-rate Citrussy yeasty aroma - slightly like detergent. Quite bubbly, very cloudy, head diminuishes fast, floating yeast visible. Fat yeasty, fruity tastenotes with a bitterhop finish. Fizzing mouthfeel.
