RCL (942), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Oct 5, 2005 Had this on tap a while ago(1 year, 2?). Don’t remember all the details but do remember that it tasted like NECTAR OF THE FREAKIN GODS! Unfortunately it seems like this transcendance fades in the bottle. Still a solid beer, though, and worth a try.
carruthm (204), USA Jul 2, 2008 I’m a little biased toward the taste of marzens, and also to almost everything ayinger puts out, but again, good amber color, sweet aroma, solid taste, good finish. v64 (48), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 21, 2008 Updated: Jul 3, 2008Pours amber, moderate head. Smells very sweet. Delicious flavor, sweet and malty. Some hops slightly come through in the background. Leaves a sweet aftertaste. Great all around Maerzen, very drinkable. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 13, 2008 Pours a clear orange body with a big white head at first that quickly dissipates, little lacing aromas of carmel nuts and cheese. a nice full mouthfeel with a soft smooth finish. FishManLA (140), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA May 19, 2008 A medium amber color with a rather persistent white head and nice lacing. On the sweet side for a marzen with a sweet fruity, floral, malty nose and a sweat fruity taste with notes of bread. Finish starts with a ping of bitter hops with a lingering sweetness afterward. The hops and malts are quite nicely balanced. blutt59 (468), Dallas, Texas, USA May 18, 2008 bottle, amber color with sweet malt nose, flavors of praline and dried fruit, dry finish
