COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Orange clear beer, little darker than your average German Helles. Little white dense head which disappers quickly leaving lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit like a bulk lager, maizey starchey sweet with some nice grassy hops as well. The taste is fortunately cleaner with maltiness, sweetness and crisp bitterness. The finish is medium long and bitter with a little alcohol coming through. Mouthfeel is smooth and thicker than medium. This is the kind of beer I would imagine drinking in Germany from a liter pint glass.

Delicious Oktoberfest. Copper color, foamy head. Strong malt flavor. All I need now is an Oom Pa band! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle to dimpled much. Pour is a deep hold, amber tint with a quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is what you would expect out of a marzen, nice and bready, roasted malt, slight caramel. Light-medium body, bitter but also sweet. Thicker feel, great carbonation. Should be the standard for the style.

Pours nearly clear, orange-gold with a thick, parchment coloured head. Toasted caramel aroma. Taste is sweet, caramel malt, bread heel. Very malty... Nice example of style.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 Pours a beautiful golden orange with an off white head. The "picture perfect" beer when it’s sitting in the glass. Decent retention, not much in the way of lacing. Taste of toasty malts, bready, a little mild hoppiness, and a bit of a caramel sweetness as it settles on the palate. Great finish. This is hands down the best Oktoberfest/Marzen style beer out there. Just a perfect example of the style in my opinion. Love it.

Tap at Bad Monkey Tavern. Copper gold pour with thick white head. Big bready malts with a nice touch of noble hops. Aroma is really clean with touches of warm bread and noble hops. Really good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a rich dark gold. Two finger head, some lacing. Malty nose with a hint of hop. Taste is crisp and clean, with malty sweetness, followed by a bit of balancing bitterness, with a clean finish. Very very good example of a marzen.

Light aroma: Fruity, bread crust. Apple-ish fruity flavor; sweet, bread crust/biscuit malt; and herbal, spicy hops. A tiny bit of vegetable-like lager yeast in aftertaste.
