COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Aroma: Nice malty rich and a floral note of hops Appearance: light yellow with tinges of amber and a tan head Taste: Very malty Märzen but still quite balanced and impeccably smooth Palate: Thick and creamy Overall: Perhaps the most drinkable Märzen i have ever had a fantastic brew

Excellent. Just the perfect representation of the style as far as i can tell. Amber red, decent head reducing quickly to a film. Appetizing aroma of lightly toasted malt. Fully rounded and lightly malty, mouth filling and very quaffable, slightly spritzy carbonation. Slighty fruity finish.

"well balanced between the different malts, and a very light hop profile, only descernable in the finish. an ok style, this one stands out a little. definitely recommended if you like the style."

Bottle: Poured a golden/amber color lager with a huge white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of clean cereal notes with light grainy notes. Taste is dominated by clean cereal notes with a touch of sweetness and some light grainy notes also noticeable. Body is above average for style with good carbonation. Simple and easy to drink with good balance overall.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2014 They make great beer in the town of Aying. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. Pours a clear amber with good foam retention. The aroma is strongly of DMS. Way too much sulfur in both the nose and the flavor. Lots of cooked corn and vegetables in the profile. There are much better examples of this style being brewed in the US. I am surprised that their quality control has let this slide and have the feeling that the batches which did not quite turn out as desired were exported to places where the beer drinkers are more "understanding".

Draught at Craft Beer Market, Vancouver
Hazy light amber color with compact head. Mild aroma of cereals and malt. Good body strength, with the expected mellow maltiness, and accents of honey, bread and hay; lowish bitterness.
Simple but clean, and pleasant to drink.

Probably the best Oktoberfest in the world. Light enough to have a few and such a classic smooth taste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really good, the flavor and mouthfeel and finish really are harmonious, delicious. Sweet but not overly so at all, very balanced and delicious beer.

Pours a fairly clear copper with a large initial off white head that slowly settles into a nice thin but dense top and leaves great lace. Aroma is rich maltiness, melanoidins, toast. Flavour is rich maltiness/sweetness, melanoidins, bread crusts, mild noble hop like bitterness, fairly clean and a moderately dry finish. Great example of the style!

On draft. Amber color with one finger head. Caramel and grain aroma. Smooth caramel taste. It just goes down so easy.

Tap at St Urho’s Pub, Helsinki. Clear mid-copper shade. Very short head. Aroma is caramel, berries, like many amber coloured beers. Taste has deep caramel tones and a nettle hop sting. The most impressive thing is the superbly robust body. Nothing particularly complex, but it seems to nail this style.
