Another good German Oktoberfest. Malty aroma with some sweetness. Coppery orange color with foamy head that lasted a while. Decent lacing. Thicker than average palate. Nice earthy tone to it of grains and malt. Well balanced and no hint of alcohol. Recommended if you like this style.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Birch Hill Tavern, poured into a tulip: Pours deep amber with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramel, dry leaves, and nuts. Taste is slightly sweet, light floral notes, heavy caramel, and a little hop bitterness on the back end. Not a complete malt bomb like most marzens, but has all of the characteristic flavors, and lots of them. This is as good as it gets for a Marzenbeir, delicious.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A tasty octoberfest. Different from ones I’ve had from the states. Appears as it ought to. Smells good, malty with a little bit of a surprising little saison-ish hint. Tasted similar to the smell. The steeped grain taste really came forward the more I drank. It’s a style you enjoy, and this one is a bit above the rest. Buy it again.
