Very nice. Biscuity and full flavor but with enough bitterness to keep it from being too sweet. Compared to the standard fare marzens that every US brewery feels compelled to make, this one is excellent.

Wow, this one did not disappoint. Brilliant pristine appearance met by a nice sweet yet refreshing nose. Are those apricots...? The taste is malty enough to drive the flavor, but not so overpowering that you get to taste how clean the beer really is. It is the benchmark for me in Octoberfests/Marzens.

Smells like bread. Pours with a large white head about 3 fingers and it quickly dissipated. Very clear and copper colored with slight lacing. Carmel up front with a touch of hops and finished with almost a bread flavor. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2012 i love this brew and look forward to seeing it every autumn. Pours a beautiful golden/copper color with a great head. Malty and bready but not sweet, just as a great fest beer should be. Finishes clean. This is my favorite Oktoberfest beer!

light creamy soft mouth-feel with a slightly bitter finish. i get a kind of nutty caramel taste. a little earthy. hops bring a slight citrus flavor as well. its more subtle in taste and feel than some beers, but great aftertaste and overall well balanced beer, i.e. not too hoppy, but not flat.

Good malty flavor: more bitter than Brooklyn Lager, sweeter than Spaten’s maerzen. A great Vienna style lager.

poured from a 500 ml bottle to a pint glass.
Smell: Has a strong sweat malty smell, but it doesn’t seem to jump out at you.
Appearance: A gorgeous bronze tone with a well carbonated body, you can see the bubbles rising to the top of the perfectly formed carbonated head.
Taste: One word, Amazing.... sweat caramelized malts in the front of the beer and a slight hoppy note at the end, well balanced.
One of the better Octoberfest I’ve had.

WITH-OUT ? 1 OF THE TOP MARZEN-OKTOBERFEST STYLES BAR-NONE.... the balance in the malt & hops is outstanding.. not over-cloying or sweet, just right amount, to make you want to keep pounding it down your worthless pie-hole

What a cool bottle cap! Light amber pour with little head to speak of. Pleasant medium body. Mostly malt nose, but hints of floral hops permeate. Thick malts and some nice notes of maple and molasses. This has to be one of my favorite Marzen lagers.

Wow! This was a nice beer! Crisp, smooth, and had a citrus flavor to it. A hint of carmel could be detected. Goes down good with some knackwurst and rot kraut.
