COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Nice Aroma, a little much on the malty side though. Great lacing and head. Appearance is dark amber, with some cloudiness. Palate is wonderfully smooth, with a subtle yeast/barley finish. This is definately one of the better beers ;-).

Sweet aroma and a bit hazy in the glass. Golden/copper color. Not a typical marzen. Did not make a good first impression but grew on me after a few sips. Sweet flavor but very drinkable. [500 ml bottle, BevMo]

Appearance- big foamy ivory white head that lasted a long time and left pretty decent lacing. Clear, amber, honey gold. Most appealing. Smell- clean, malty, bready, (slightly) spicy. Taste- toasted malts, biscuity, caramel. Very, very pleasant. Mouthfeel- light, smooth. Excellent balance. Overall- very nice. A solid brew. Never used to be a big fan of Marzen/Oktoberfest, but starting to enjoy more and more. Would have again (and again) and definitely recommend. Cheers!

Sadly, this style is a rarity (locally-brewed or imported) in this part of the world. It was nice to sample Ayinger, which poured with a creamy head over a copper-coloured body. The aroma was of lightly-toasted malt, with a slightly sweet, syrupy accent. The flavour was bready, though the toasted malt made it more like bread crusts. Nice dry finish, but the body could have been a bit smoother: the carbonation was a little prickly for the style.

Deep orange and hazy with an off white head. Malty and fruity with a mildly spicy aftertaste. Little aroma to make note of.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2012 A classic octoberfest from Deutschland...lagered nicely! The malt notes shine through and the hops are just right for tne style. Color, clarity perfect! Ayinger is one of the classic producers of octoberfest; this beer should be experienced every year! Textbook marzen; easy drinking. Pairs well with food; especially the chicken wings Im eating with it! Good drink!

This beer is the closest thing you can get to actually having the beer they serve at the fest. Although this particular brewery is not represented at the fest, it is the best representation of the beer they serve and it brings back a lot of great memories of when I was there.

Very drinkable for a beer with such rich flavor. Not much on appearance: cloudy and with little head or lace. Nice fruity, floral aroma. Good balance of malt and hops; sweet but not too much so.
