3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is characterized by nicely sweet malt. There is a big, almost white head over a shockingly golden (not orange) body. The flavor was extremely dull, offering just enough to be considered an Oktober. The palate is dull as well. Overall, this beer was a bitter disappointment. I expected much more from Ayinger.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slightly sweet, with literally no trace of alcohol. Felt like a deeper beer but not too complexand ended very fresh. I over chilled it just slightly, because the true aromas and flavors really came out after sitting for about 10 minutes. Beautiful carbonation that hit through to the end. I enjoyed this beer, especially the awesome bottle cap.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours is amber colored with a thick white head. Aroma is coconut, banana, and pear. The flavors are bread and citrus with a coconut finish. This beer has a medium/heavy body with light carbonation and a creamy mouth feel. This one could stand to be slightly more bitter, but all together very enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a clear dark golden with a strong 4 finger head - maybe a too-aggressive pour. Light, malty nose - not too strong an aroma. Malty palate with some hop bitterness to balance. This is a well-balanced beer. A bit of a watery finish compared to other marzens I have tasted. Light carbonation, maybe because of the aggressive pour. Some very subtle caramel notes - this is a nuanced beer. Either that or I just tell myself I like it because everyone else seems to rate it highly.

Dark malt, and a good example of the Oktoberfest style. Honey colored, thin head and lace. Some citrus....

Very typical marzen-style oktoberfest, quite drinkable but nothing to make it stand out.

Its got a hazy yeastiness reminescent of strong wheats and that sets it apart from other fests, though after a while you do feel out a fair round malt.

Amber with creamy head. Chocolate, spice, and malt. Refreshing and well constructed, but nothing special

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I generally don’t prefers lagers, but this is a fantastic example of marzen. A very light, clear amber color with a small head. Aroma is subtle but with sweet, caramel nose. Light taste that is one of that smoothest beers I’ve ever had.

1 pt 1 oz bottle, pours a light golden color. Aroma is malty, almost has a tomato sauce like smell. Flavor is well balanced, very malty, medium finish. Not quite as good as I was expecting.
