Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

I just picked up 60 bottles- this is truly a great Seasonal and is the best Oktoberfest I have ever had plus it seems very consistent from year to year. The refrigerator is now stocked and I will be popping the top on one of these bottles this evening!

Tap. Pours clear golden amber color with a large white head. Good lacing. Nose is sweet bread, and caramel. Taste is the same, just a little more hops. Very refreshing.

Malty, sweet, and well carbonated, with hints of warm bread and spices. A wonderfully drinkable session beer!

Bread, biscuits, dominate. This is a malty beer, not too much in the way of hop flavors. Not my favorite style, but for what it is it’s quite good. Excellent session beer for early fall.

Love the bottle design and the fact that it’s a pint bottle, which I think more beers should be because I have pint glasses that I want to fill up! Pretty biscuity and fairly creamy palate, which is nice. The aroma is definitely better than the actual taste, but they compliment each other nicely. I’ve drank this both out of the bottle and in a glass, and out of the bottle it is actually surprisingly bad!

.5L bottle. Pours a crystal clear dark gold/light amber with a huge billowy head. Aroma is fairly weak caramel malts. Taste is clean, sweet malts with a bit of a buttery, yeasty finish. Hops are extremely subdued and there is no real bitterness to this beer. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. This makes an outstanding food beer and goes down easy. Not bad for the price.

This golden reddish beer has a mild malty aroma. It is very well balanced not too hoppy with a smoky type flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a crystal clear amber with a foamy white head. Aroma has a bit of band aid. It may be a bad bottle. Once behind it the aroma was honey sweet. The flavor is syrupy sweet up front with a touch of floral hops and a clean dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer brings me back to the time I was travelling on a train from Salzburg to Munich for the 2012 Oktoberfest. On the train I met a few locals and I decided to challenge the Germans to a beer drinking contest. By the time the first German hit the ground drunk I was about 6 liters deep and they were somewhere on their 4th and 5th. The weather was great that day
