Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Ambré foncer avec un tête moyen beige. L’arôme du malt un peu sucré et un petit peu d’houblon floral. Le goût est du malt sucré avec un peu du sucré et une finale très peu amer.

From bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head and lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is light fruits and caramel and malty yeast. Taste is the same, nicely sweet, almost no hops. Medium mouthfeel, gentle carbonation. Delicious.

Radiant orange body with a small white cap. Aromas of lager yeast, subtle spice, fruity malt. Smells true to style. Clean and easy drinking. A good Oktoberfest bier is a thing of beauty. It’s that time of year. A solid German brew.

Pours clear amber, beautiful two finger head that lasts. Aroma is fruit (plum?) and malt sweetness. Taste is great example of marzen lager. Love it.

Purchased from Leary’s, the Amesbury location, earlier today. $3.75 for the 500 mL bottle. To long-stemmed white wine glass it pours a clear carrot orange with which a bubbly, off-white head two fingers in length stood. Aromas of Munich malt, cherry tomatoes, noble hops, spent grain, sweat, and celery leaves. Tastes the same with the addition of minerals, young oak, German yeast, and papaya-flavored seltzer water. Had experienced a metallic aftertaste by swallow. I’m not in love with the style, but I definitely could drink this again.

Drank this last night, with cheese crackers , and olives. Wonderful color, beautiful amber color. Head is nice, but dissipates quickly. I am NOT a particular fan of lager beer, outside of dopplebock or eiebock but the taste was very nice. And clean what I would expect from a German Beer. Overall, I gave this beer a 15. I would certainly drink this again, this is not a beer I would particularly cellar, or keep on hand.

500 mL bottle poured into a shaker. Aromas of butterscotch and buttered toast are strongest initially, but these give way to citrus notes of orange and tangerine along with some floral notes and peach cobbler as well as some vanilla and green grapes late. It pours a clear yellow amber with an oily appearance. It’s topped by a soft, but rocky looking white head which eventually reduces down to a medium foamy ring with a soft, full, fuzzy layer on the surface. A moderate, puffy lace is left on the glass. The taste is mostly a medium, smooth, malty sweet with a light, mellow, spicy bitter. The slick, medium-light bodied beer is smooth with a light, fizzy carbonation. There’s notes of caramel and butterscotch on the palate and it finishes with a citrus and spice combination. The aftertaste is light, spicy, and clean, and doesn’t linger long.

Appearance: this beer is a very clear average golden color with hints of amber, pours with a large beige head that has above average retention and density Aroma: very sweet, strong caramel, perhaps some flowers, brown sugar, Taste: sweet caramel, hints of grain throughout, floral hints too Palate: very smooth drinking, soft carbonation, heavier mouthfeel, slight sweet aftertaste Overall: this is pretty dang good marten, very strong caramel throughout, pretty sweet too but goes down easy, perfect for a fall festival ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear faint orange pour. Aroma of apples, spices and sweet bread. Sweet malt and cracker taste. Bubbly and effervescent. Really nice.
