3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a medium golden amber, with a large foamy head. The off-white head still persisted during the session. The aroma is upfront, with toasted malts and some slight hoppiness. Taste is also strong and largely relfects the aroma--a mild toasted malt flavor is front and center, with some bready, slightly grassy qualities. Hoppiness imparts a little bitterness but is definitely in the background. Mouthfeel is average. In all, a fine Oktoberfest beer if flavor is high on the list of priorities.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a crystal clear amber with a foamy white head. Aroma has a bit of band aid. It may be a bad bottle. Once behind it the aroma was honey sweet. The flavor is syrupy sweet up front with a touch of floral hops and a clean dry finish.

This beer brings me back to the time I was travelling on a train from Salzburg to Munich for the 2012 Oktoberfest. On the train I met a few locals and I decided to challenge the Germans to a beer drinking contest. By the time the first German hit the ground drunk I was about 6 liters deep and they were somewhere on their 4th and 5th. The weather was great that day

Poured from bottle into stein. Very nice bronze color with plenty of head. Malty aroma that did not hit you, very soft. Slightly thicker mouth feel. Taste is of malt and biscut. A little bitter on the aftertaste. I would have prefered this in early fall but very enjoyable and drinkable.

Pint bottle from Trader Joe's. Very thick head but with minimal lacing. Lighter bodied than was initially expecting.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours amber with off white head. Taste slightly sweet, Carmel, malt. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear amber with a voluminous off-white foamy head and impressive carbonation. Nice caramel malty aroma with notes of hay and cereal. Slightly sweet malty flavor with enough hop presence to provide balance. Lively mouthfeel but still smooth and easy to drink. I can picture myself drinking a few ridiculously oversized steins of this.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
poured from a 500 ml bottle to a pint glass.
Smell: Has a strong sweat malty smell, but it doesn’t seem to jump out at you.
Appearance: A gorgeous bronze tone with a well carbonated body, you can see the bubbles rising to the top of the perfectly formed carbonated head.
Taste: One word, Amazing.... sweat caramelized malts in the front of the beer and a slight hoppy note at the end, well balanced.
One of the better Octoberfest I’ve had.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle into stein. Clear copper with thick head but no lacing in my ceramic stein. Aromas are heavily buttered biscuit, floral hops, and caramel. Flavors follow with early malt sweetness and late mild bitterness. Light to medium bodied, dry finish, moderate carbonation. My favorite Oktoberfest marzen.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Malt and floral slightly fruity nose. Clear honey gold with a thick lasting foamy off white head. Light and fresh. Very smooth with the slightest hoppy bitterness on the finish. Very well balanced.
