COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Toasty, malty, slight caramel aromas. Maltier oktoberfest flavors of bread, malts and slight earthiness. Second best of four german oktoberfest beers blind tasted.

Bready, floral, licorice, butter, paper, orange marmalade. Solid but seems a bit oxidized.

Clear light amber pour with a hint of garnet. Massive head with excellent lacing and retention. The nose is sweet biscuit malt with a little caramel over a faint, almost citric, spiciness. Nice light medium body with a slick smooth texture that approaches creamy. Slightly above normal carbonation with a good bit of effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is quite nice, a bit complex, and very well balanced. The sweet malt flavors are there, but not to the extent that they are overpowering. It begins with sweet biscuit, flows to a caramel note and then the effervescence cleans the palate and allows the complexity to escape. The middle presents a multitude of subtle flavors - citric, dark fruit, light bitterness and spicy hops. The smooth finish leaves you with a blend of the aforementioned flavors.

Dark golden/copper color, big white head. Aroma of malt and bread with hints of caramel and hop. Malty sweet taste with bready and caramel notes, balanced by light hoppy bitterness. I liked this beer.

Slightly oversweet fest beer with a sturdy maltiness and little in the way of hops. Smooth drinking but a little short on flavor.

Pours a dark gold/light copper color with a decent white head. Many streams of tiny bubbles hint at a high degree of carbonation. Aroma is malt forward with toasty and bready notes. Some spicy hop notes evident behind that. Taste is nicely malt up front: bread, toast, biscuit with a hint of caramel. Very dry throughout. Finishes up with some spicy hops and a touch of lingering bitterness. Alcohol heat lingers. Overall a very nice octoberfest: malt forward but balanced. Exceptionally drinkable!

Pours clear golden from a 500ml bottle with a thick white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet on the nose, malty. Taste is yeast, malt, hops, and a tad of caramel sweetness. Has strong carbonation on the tongue with a nice clean finish. Good Oktoberfest beer.

500 ml bottle from Trader Joe's. Deep golden color and good, active white head. Aroma is pretty strong compared to others in the style. Malty and bready, sweet nose. The taste matches the smell for most part. High level of carbonation. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
