COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Bottle. The pour was a light clear amber with a huge (3-4 finger) white foamy head that had good retention and fairly good lacing. The aroma was very light and mild of a toasted biscuit malt, a mild floral hop and a light doughy yeast with a hint of caramel. The taste had an extremely light sweet malty presence from the start and finished about the same with a nice note of caramel at the end. The flavor was left hanging around for a nice long while after the swallow. Mouthfeel was surprisingly light in body and watery in texture with a fizzy carbonation. Overall an Oktoberfest that is super light in body and flavor. Although a tasty brew it could have used a little more of both.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear light amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose is light with some grains to it and just a bit of breadiness coming through. Taste is slightly sweet, with a fair amount of bread, toast, and grains to it. Decent.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-golden pour with a white head. Surprisingly fruity, lots of tropical fruit, some sultana raisins. Very malty, but lots going on.

Golden tan color, thin head. Smell is fresh, fruity, a little nutty, oily, clean fruit and hops. Taste is spicy, pumpkin, a little sweet, crisp, refreshing, savory in a vegetabley way. Long sparkling finish. Excellent for any occasion or any reason.

Poured from bottle. Classic octoberfest beer with a strong malt opening and a dry finish. Definitely one to pick up when the seasons change. --you've been Dubbed.

Pours amber with little head. Smell is slightly yeasty, some sweet notes are present. Taste is quite pleasant. One of more enjoyable beers in my opinion. Light, almost no body, with a sweet afterntaste that is not long lasting. A very good kirtabier!

500ml bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of sticky malt. Sweetish creamy finish.

commonmac (464) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Bottle purchased at Four Firkins and consumed with commonshawn. Golden/copper color with minimal head. Sweet aromatics with bubblegum and candy-like notes. Expectations of malt and bread are met with the initial impact on the tongue. Some nutty, caramel characteristics but in general it’s a pretty straightforward Oktoberfest. Aftertaste is malty and sweet. It’s probably in the upper echelon of Oktoberfest/marzen options.

Medium bottle from four firkins with commonmac. Light copper with white head. Sweet grain malt, very german nose. Strong aroma. Slightly metallic sweet malt grain. Consistent taste throughout. Typical of style, was expecting more.
