The dry bitterness of classic pilsner makes this a perfect, pre-dinner drink. Although we borrowed the style from Bohemia, our pils is classsic Bavarian, made partially with barley we grow ourselves, a blend of fresh Hallertau and Tetnang hops and our unique St. Andreas mineral water. The vivacious color is reflective of the barley fields that surround our brewery. The head is light and thick and leaves a beautiful Bavarian lace on the empty glass. . In the mouth, our pils achives balance and roundness, without the hops overpowering the fruitiness of the malt.

Bottle: Greenish-golden coloured and a bit unclear, small stable white head with a little lace, delicate floral and spicy hops in the nose, a kind of dough in the background; light bodied and very soft, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; slightly lingering hoppy and pale malty finish. Decent brew by a decent brewery…

Tap at ayingers, munchen, from the barrel. Clear golden color. Basic malty and little hoppy aroma. Taste of malts, hops, citrus and some wood from the barrel. Quality pils.

33 cl bottle @ home as "Ayinger Bairisch Pils”, BBE 07/2013
Quite bubbly and pale – looks like a champagne in my pilsener glass. Aroma has butter, some grain, straw, hints of honey and grassy hops. Flavour has grassy hops, some grain and hints of herbs. Quite hoppy and somewhat stuffy finish with lots of grass and some herbal tones. Refreshing and nice.

330 ml bottle. As Ayinger Bairisch Pils. L2300. BB 07/13. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear pale golden colour with the average to big foamy white head. The aroma is noble hops, green apple, bitterness, mild rubber and malt. Grassy hops, some bitterness, green apple, malt and dryness in the flavour. Nice and drinkable.

Kita (1500) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JAN 17, 2013
Bottled, 0.33l. Clear straw color with large frothy white head and small lively bubbles. Aroma of grassy hops, malt and citrus. Taste starts malty, but not sweet, then followed by grassy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel surprisingly turns very warm, but still ends crisp and dry. Aftertaste is still hoppy and long-lasting. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. In my opinion this one is overrated, I expected much more...

bartlebier (2678) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JAN 15, 2013
33cl bottle as "Bairisch Pils", Bierzwerg Dez 2012 - Transparent light gold with fluffy white head, nice fresh & floral aromas. Taste is a combination of dry-sweet malts (marzipan again) and floral-grassy hops, working at full potential through lively carbonation. Original Pilsner, preferable to bland Bayrish Helles.
