2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 booyaatribe (453) - Chicago, USA - JAN 27, 2005
Meh. I’m really not enthused. The flavors don’t blend well, and something is just not balanced about this. It lacks the panache of a Czech pils, that’s for sure.

33cl Bottle. Appearance is clear, golden yellow color with medium, foamy, off-white head. Aroma is grainy, sweet malts and grassy hops. Taste is similar with a strong grain and sweet malts, some hay, up-front grass hops. Palate is medium-bodied, slick texture, lively carbonation, slightly acidic, and a long, dry finish. Definitely a top-notch Pils in a sea of mediorcity.

Palate is clean and fresh, light cereal accented by fragrant grassy floral hops delivering a medium bitterness in the finish. The best lager of the journey at this point.
