COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Poured a pale amber with an off-white coloured, creamy and fine pored head, which collapses slowly. Sour fruity smell. The tasteing begins light sharp, moutfeel’s becomes after that slick, texture’s medium to moderate thin, flavour’s of banana. The malt-charactered and rather mild aroma is of caramell, cereals, citrus and cloves. The light tart finish is spicy, citric, nutty and dry with a spicy aftertaste at last. Rather a mild one, in spite of that overall vice.

Poured a hazy amber color with a large white bubbly head. Aroma of esters, wheat, and banana. Some orange as well. Taste has lots of orange and lemon with some banana in the finish. Flavors of pale malts. Not so much caramel malts, as I expected. Very carbonated with a good amount of spices. Seems more like a hefeweizen than a dunkelweizen.

Ayinger makes solid wheat beers in the true german style. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much else about this beer. Adding notes from last few months, have not been able to comment perfectly on each beer. I blame the beer.

Bottle: Pours a medium amber with your typical ayinger fluffy head. Smells and flavors are hefweizen - Clove, Spice, Yeast, combined with malt and darker fruits. While I enjoyed the beer for what it is, I think I prefer the hefeweizen more than this.

Színe átmenetet képez a narancssárga szűretlen búza és az egészen sötét barna dunkel között. A tetejét birtokló hab is igen koszos, öreg pergamenszerűen sárgás színezetű.

Pours medium amber with a solid head, which also subdues the aroma. Otherwise a very nice Weizen with a sweet but not oppressive flavour and well-balanced bitterness.

Bottled. Dark golden coloured. Hazy. Dense off white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, cloves and vague caramel. Flavour of light smoke, yeast, banana, light cloves. Medium to full bodied. Dry yeasty and bubblegum dense end. Not your ordinary dunkelweisse in my book. Is more like an ordinary hefe. And a dammed good one.
