COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Beautiful shimmering orange, hazy, bright white fluffy head. Nose is sour, with a bit of banana. Palate is subdued with bananas, its got a nice mouthfeel, ends dry. A bit of cloves. A nice beer.

Bottle form 99. Cloudy brown-gold pour with a tall, rocky, off-white head that gradually fades to a short head and leaves moderate lace. Nose is wheat, bananas and spice. Medium-light body and light, fine carbonation. Ripe fruit, yeast, apples and cloves. Finish is long, lightly sweet and spicy. I’ve only had a few Dunkelweizens, but this one strikes me as very nice

Bottle. Amber color, cloudy. Yeasty aroma with clove and banana. Wheaty sweet, yeasty flavor with lots of banana and pisang ambon. Slightly disappointing considering its high average rating.

Hazed dark orange, foamy white head fades. Aroma of bright yeast and citrus, plum. Taste of dark fruit, yeast-spice, gum. Medium body, medium high carbonation. Been a while since I had a spectacular wheat beer and this is one here.

500ml bottle in a weizen glass. Pours deep golden with a fluffy, off-white head. Aroma of wheat, toasted and cereal malts, and floral hops. Flavor about the same, with a little light fruit. Average texture. A decent beer.

Pours almost the same as an Orval - which is a good thing. Huge white, pillowy head, cloudy amber. But that’s where the similarities stop: this has banana, clove, wheat in the nose. Make no mistake, this is a German beer. Some fruit notes hit the palate, perhaps banana and apple, but here the wheat dominates. This is a nice beer, and I’m glad to have tried it.
