COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Pours a dark cloudy amber/light brown. Sizeable off-white head, mostly diminishing. Very similar to Hoegarden to me. Spices of banana, vanilla - very smooth and balanced. Great taste with little lacing staying through pour. Another great beer from Ayinger - SALUDE!

Refrigerated bottle. Pours a darker golden color than their regular hefeweizen. In general the taste is bready dark malts and is lighter in color than some other dunkelweizens. Nice head and some lacing. In particular the favor tones are dominanted by banana and has some clove. Best dunkleweizen I have had.

Great color. Looks like liquid caramel. Has a tangy aroma that is also very fruity and fizzy smelling. Sweet taste with some odd oily lingerings. , sort of like bananas that are overripe. Not bad, but was expecting it to be better.

Pours light amber brown with a big off white head. Aroma is banana and spice with hints of caramel. Flavor is spicy, yeasty with a lot of banana/phenols coming through. Pretty good.

(Bottle) Pours hazy orange with a creamy head. The aroma is fruity with tones of oranges, apricots and bananas. Phenols bring notes of incense and clove. Undertones of mint, vanilla and flowers. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter and tiny acidic. Tones of oranges, banana clove and flowers. The mouthfeel is round and robust. Near medium carbonation. Some wheat and banana in the finish. Medium bodied.

16.9 oz bottle Market of Choice. Pours out a hazy amber with a big white head and minimal lacing. Aroma of banana, clove, apples. Flavor is wheat with banana, clove, apples thrown in. There’s a crisp snap to this beer, very effervescent. Definitely enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Hazy and dark peach-coloured beer with a medium head. The scent is filled with wheat and delicious fruit. The taste’s really wheaty too, with some banana in there. The mouthfeel is a bit too carbonated.
