COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

500 ml bottle - muddy orange with thin white head; cloves, bananas, yeasty, lemony goodness; full bodied with soft texture and flavors of creamy, wheat and cloves; definitely heavy on the cloves mixed with lemony sweetness; quite tasty overall

Bottle in trade with Bonster. Full pour in wheat beer glass yeilds a darker toned center column with a hazy honey tan encompassing it. It slowly blends together for a caramel haze with a tight white head. Nose of creals and wheat malt. Soft rounded body has tones of pear and scaramel apples. wheat /yeast tang offset the subtle sweetness. Clove and citrussy finish spark the tastebuds for more.

Nice subtle wheat aroma, a little spicy taste, but very good, aftertaste just kinda fades out.

Bottle poured into a Weizen glass. Sweet and acidic nose. Banana, cantaloupe, and faint clove. Hazy, light caramel color. Bright white head and that quickly fades from three fingers to a quarter of an inch. No lacing. Fruit-yeast and wheat malt flavor. Finishes dry but leaves a sweat clove flavor on the palate.

Pours cloudy copper color with a booming off white head that lasts. Banana, apple, cloves and bread/yeast aroma. Flavor is banana bread, very enjoyable beer for the fall.

bottle: pint glass: Pours a cloudy, dark green/ brown... very thin head ring. The nose has lots of clove and banana, backed up with strong yeasts... very bright. The taste reveals again the cloves and banana but also some darker qualities, some roasted notes. Some grassy, earthy feel, also lots of yeasts. Medium to high carbonation nicely washes the mouth clean. Easily drinkable, I could put a few of these back no problem. Great brew.

Bottle. Pours a deep caramel color with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt with bread notes, yeast, clove, banana, and some light fruit detectable. Flavor is light fruit up front, with roasted malt, bread, and clove on the back end. I’m a big fan of this style, and a big fan of this beer.
