COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Bottle at Novare Res. Pours a golden yellow with a huge frothy head. The aroma is biscuity and very orange-like, smells like someone peeled an orange and banana in this beer. The flavor isn’t fruity at all, sweet malt, bready, and pretty nice, but simple. This was pretty neat.

Bottle: Golden colored pour with large head. Fruity, yeasty, bready aroma. Banana, bready, not too sweet finish. This was pretty good.

Bottle. Look: Hazy dark orange (almost brown). Smell: Sweet, fruity and spicy in a way that reminds me of a sahti. Orange, apple, banana etc, with honey and some stinky cheese. Taste: Very fruity! Also some christmas spices and vanilla. Nice bitterness in aftertaste. Overall: A little too sweet for me, but it’s definitely a good brew. Keep up the good work Ayinger!

Banana and malt aroma with some florals. Cloudy butterscotch almost caramel color with an apple hue. Minimal white almost biege head with lots of action. Banana, toasted malt, and wheat grain taste with a hint of caramel in the background and some florals throughout. Medium bodied, some buttery and resiny feel, with a crisp comfortable carbonation. This is a craft beer and when consumed swirl in the sediment in an appropriate glass and enjoy.

Pours golden orange/amber. Lots of carbonation, a large head results. Malty, yeasty aroma. Some fruits as well. Flavor is rich with yeasty, fruity, malt sweetness, spicy notes, subtle sourness, and an ever so slight roasty finish. Tasty brew.

1/21/09 From the bottle. Aroma is sour banana forward with a spicy phenol background. Appearance is clear gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is sour forward that fades to sweet and highly fruity with a very light peppering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, with a low carb texture. Overall, quite good, but seems more like a standard German hef than a Dunkel.

Bottle. Cloudy orange brown body with nice head. Aroma of wheat, cloves. Flavor is the same as aroma with an interesting sweet malt flavor working in towards the end.

500 Ml Bottle-Trade w/after4ever-pours a cloudy golden color w/a slight white head. Sweet, banana aroma. Sweet flavor of wheat, banana, green apple, orange peel, bread dough, colander, vanilla, & pepper. Had a lot of carbonation to it. Very easy to drink, very enjoyable. Long yeasty finish, a real winner. Thanks Tom!
