COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Cloudy, carbonated, amber, nice short lasting head, strong notes off ripe fruit, banana, melon, yeast. Sweet and little bitter in the short aftertaste. good mouthfeel.

Bottle @ home.
Hazy medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, banana, rubber, toffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long to average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft. (050508)

Nice rusty orange color with a massive head. On the nose we have wheat, malt, and fruit. Taste is yeasty, doughy, and a lot of malt. Just a touch of fruit on the finish. Not bad.

From bottle. Pours a beautiful orange with a sizable cream head. Smells of fruit, wheat and malt. Palate features medium body and carbonation. Flavor of mild fruit and wheat. Finishes sweet, spicy with some banana. Really nice “whispy” wheat quality that is crisp and refreshing. Good, but not as vibrant as I had hoped.

Very nice Dunkel. Subtle roasted malt flavor with the airy-lightness of a fine wheat beer. Slightly banana in the finish.

Poured a murky copper color with a nice fluffly, tightly beaded head. Spicy aroma. Good flavor of clove with a hint of banana. I love German wheat beers and this is another excellent example.

Poured into a weizen. Aromas of roasted malt and yeast apparent. Initial flavor of malts and wheat, followed by a subtle sweetness that is really pleasant to the palate. Very good beer.

It pours a cloudy golden colour, with a very large heat that quickly dissapates. the aroma is sweet with bananna, pear and apples. One of the sweeter dunkels ive had, it does look like the water from a river not too far from where I live. it has a very full mouthfeel.
