COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

From Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with medium head and carbonation that dissapates quickly. Yeasty bread aroma. Bread flavor with a dry hop finish. Not a bad brew.

Bottle pours hazy golden with a creamy offwhite head. Aromas of bannana and light clove. Flavor is bannana, clove, bubblegum, and a little pear. Lots of yeast, some light caramel as well. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation and a fizzy mouthfeel. Not too bad.

Pours slightly hazed tawny honey w/ medium semi creamy froth. Aroma is weak w/ banana spice. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are on the delicate side w/ typical wheat flavors that are brightly exposed and other spices. The finish has a high crisp bittering. Overall: crisp, clean, and refreshing but certainly not my favorite.

Bottle. Pours amber-copper with a tall foamy off-white head that mostly dissipates, fast-rising tiny bubbles. Aroma is malty wheat, straw and biscuit, fruit (banana, pear, apricot), yeast (dark dough) and notes of caramel, slightly roasted. Medium sweetness, mild bitterness and acidity, malt and yeast, wheat dough flavor, straw and bananas, slight sour finish. Medium bodied and fizzy palate that is both watery and dry simultaneously.

I was surprised this poured rather clear. However it still looked very nice. I smelled quite a bit of banana, along with some bread, and spices. Tasted a bit nuttier at first, but then I start noticing the fruit qualities. Finishes fairly apple-y, but there’s still a pleasant nuttiness to this. This beer made my mouth pucker a bit. Very good, well-balanced flavors, but a little thin feeling.

A bready, drinkable Dunkelweizen. Some banana flavor, abit of caramel, anis, a nice drinker for a weizenbier, good flavor!

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, rusty, dark amber color. Nice foamy thick head. Aroma of bread, banana, hay and some cirtus rind. Flavor is sweet and bready, with a nice mild fruit note, and a finish that is almost spice-like.

Bottle kicks up a decent head with fair longevity. Banana/clove aroma and taste are pretty strong and linger on the back of the tongue. I was looking for Oktoberfest brews, but found that this seems to fit the late summer/early fall niche nicely.
