4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Big, foamy head. Beautiful unfiltered deep amber appearance. Malted, spicy aroma. Smooth on the palate - wheat, fruit, spices, yeast. So good!

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A slight malty smell. The color of this beer was a light reddish brown and the head pale beige. The head faded quickly and left little lacing. The taste was light and crisp with just a hint of spices. The dominant flavors were that of barely toasted wheat bread and fruit, perhaps apricots or peaches. Not an outstanding beer, but smooth and very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This brewed poured a medium-large white head with small-medium bubbles. There was very little lacing on the sides of my glass. Carbonation was observed rising to the top. It had a fruity aroma to it and it was a bit on the watery side. I did not notice any bitterness or aftertaste with this brew; however, I was disappointed with this brew as I expected it to be better since it is brewed by Ayinger.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew poured a medium sized head of finely sized white bubbles and a transparent brown body. It had a mild hop aroma if any aroma at all. Its malty fruity flavor finishes slightly fizzy. We paid $7.49 for this brew which was not worth the price IMHO.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
All around good brew from my view. The best hefe-weizen I've had to date. Lots of carbonation and very yeasty are the things I notice.

Light amber color.medium head small amount of staying power but not much.Malty, yeast aromasome what spicy, and in some small way a little bread like as the description say's but very mildly.Malty taste, spicy, well hopped, with some over ripe tones of fruit like possibly apple but more like pear IMO with some lite olive tones to it as well.Over all it's a pretty decent brew and well worth thebucks to get more.

This one pours an ambery orange color with fairly active carbonation and a thin but continual frothy head that just wont go away! The aroma is yeasty and bready with a hint of mango, cloves and perhaps other fruits..mainly dark. The taste is predominated by a yeasty front...heavily yeasty for a german wheat to the point that i was surprised! It's followed up by a nectar like fruity/mango finish with a slight bitter floral dry ending. The carbonation level is very active here as is evidenced by that continual head. Some apple and pear acetic qualities in the aftertaste. Very floral and mango-like for my tastes. A nice beer and a good drink, but held back by those floral mango flavors.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.
Are you paying attention? I just lifted this from the brewers description, but ya know what? They're on the mark.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Bottle). Very cloudy, rather murky light brown colour. Like most weissbiers it pours with a large head. Plenty of cloves, ripe bananas, oak and hints of smoke in aroma and flavour. A little more hops for the aftertaste would have been nice, but this is none the less a first class hefe-weizen. Recommended! (Thanks, joss!)

Solid dunkelweiss, very good, drier not as fruity. Always a good break from the norm.
