COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

0,5 l bottle.
Murky-hazy amber colored beer with a stable foamy white-off white head. Caramel, malt, fruits like fig and citrusses in the aroma with the classic phenolic banan weizen character. Smooth mouthfeel, caramel(less toasted than expected) and malt base, fruity taste with spicies, citrusses. Well done, fine..

Poured a fairly light body despite the fairly dark color. The head was nice, just about perfect in my opinion. Smelled like a typical weisse beer with hints of fruit. Tasted very similar. Initially I thought it was basic, but by the end of the bottle I was loving this one. There’s a lot here, and it’s really smooth and sweet.

Cloudy brown pour with a big creamy tan head that sticks around. Nice aroma of roasted grain and malt, banana and lighter fruit, yeast and spice. Flavor is nice as well, with the wheat, malt and spice really coming through. Soft and refreshing on the palate. A bit of a spicy finish, though nothing overpowering. Very nice overall.

Big hiss as the cap comes off, mostly hazy orange-to-brown with some yeasties and little beads that form a succinct icy layer for the head. Big cloves waft on first whiff, followed by chocolate powdered bananas, sweet whole kernel corn, pepper and nutmeg. Spicing is hot with the aroma. Flavor makes good on the aroma predictors. Smooth banana crème and caramel chews provide the first layer. Cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and cloves spice up the next. Slight hint of brown sugared rum raisins and golden delicious apples. Sweet and graceful on the palate, departing with much of the same flavoring profile as it rode in on. I feared the effervescence when the cap hissed so powerfully, but each sip was met with a well-toned body. Finish is akin to ginger snap cookies. Pretty damn good.

Looks like an old penny with a dense white head that diminishes into a tiny ringlet...minimal carbonation. Yeast, banana, clove...both in the flavor and aroma. Nothing overpowering. Semi-sweet. Not bad.

Bottle. Deep copper in color with the usual cloudiness of a wheat beer. Aroma is fruity (specially banana). Flavor is fresh with the same bananas coming through and finishes with a slight wheat taste at the back of the throat.
