COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

From the 500 ml. bottle. The pour is medium to deep amber, with a bit of a haze, and a tremendous, frothy head. The aroma is bountiful with wheat, spicey clove, and a banana-like fruitiness. Little to no hop character. The body is rich and creamy with a a small cane sugar sweetness balancing out the taste. Perfect for summer.

Lovely aroma of banana and cloves. Cloudy orange with an average white head which is long lasting. Taste is banana mainly with some other fruits going on as well. Bready flavor, a little light. Maybe the only complaint here is that the carbonation could be a little much. Otherwise a decent brew from the Germans. Good for enjoying on a hot and sunny day. The end was even better after rolling to get the sediment emptied.

Not bad, it doesn’t stand out to me as more than a powerful wheat beer. It does have some very fine qualities, the spice in the nose is heavy, there is great cloudy amber/yellow colour, and it has good depth, but I wasn’t really drawn back to it. It has an interesting, almost sour, flavour to it.

Thick white head which dissipated quickly. Aroma of spicy bananas. Spicy flavor which turns to a fruity, almost candylike, finish. Not at all what I expected.

Pours amber iwth a slight haze. Thick lasting head. Ridiculous carbonation- this one was actually sitting on its side in the trunk of my car and started leaking a bit. I only lost about half an inch from the bottle but I was expecting it to be flat. No, when I cracked that cap this beer popped. Still had immense carbonation. Yeasty aromas with some citrus peels. Good rich flavor and extremely well balanced. Citrus flavor like tangerines come to mind. Quite drinkable. Creamy mouthfeel typical of Ayinger brews.

Aroma of bananas, and nothing else. Orange/brown body with a big head. Flavors of wheat, yeast, and banana chips
