COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Cloudy amber/cider color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of wheat, yeast, bananas, clove, & brown sugar; Flavor of wheat, yeast, bananas, clove, fruit (notably apples), some caramel, and spice; Nicely balanced & complex; Overall, excellent brew - one of the best dunkelweizens I’ve had.

This was the best dunkel weizen I have ever had. Nice and fruity and very malty. Highly recommended.

bottle. Pours a dark amber, downright mud color with a big, white head. Nose is of banane, wheat and yeast. Taste is of banana and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium. Very nice, especially for a wheat beer.

Bottle. Murky brownish-amber with off-white head. Smells wheaty with a little citrus. Tastes like a hefe - a little bit of yeast, fruit and maltiness to it, but the flavor isn’t quite full. Just seems a bit watery. Still, a nice and refreshing beer, especially during warm weather.

Ever notice how all these German Wheats are freakingly similar. LIke they have a big pot that they draw them all out of then put different labels on them.

Murky orangey brown, off-white big cloudy head. Nose is banana, strong bubblegum and yeasty wheat. Spicy and wheaty flavor, ripe bananas. Some earthiness and a lot of yeast in the finish. Medium bodied, foamy palate. One of the best weizens I’ve had.

Cloudy orange with floating yeast and a foamy white head. Smells like spices and cloves, very pleasant. Tastes: malt, banana, clove, spices. The malt is great in this offering. Another rock solid from Ayinger.
