Bottle. Cloudy yellowish in color with a nice fluffy white head. Banana and clove. Malty. Spicey. Even carbonation. Enjoyable.

This is just how I expect a German wheat to taste. This is definitely not one to disappoint on the palate. Taste is crisp and clean with a lingering sour bite on the tongue. Just the right flavor of roasted malts with a bit of tangy nuttiness, fresh bread aroma and a solid malt backbone make this very complete.

500ml bottle. My first Dunkelweizen. Pours a cloudy brown color with a good sized tan head. Sweet banana with spice aroma with a tart clean palate. Delicious flavor with banana, wheat & cloves being the major players. Very good.

This beer is like Ayinger Hefe Weisse with more of a bite. The longer I drank it the better it tasted. Was it a case of, "The women all get prettier at closing time"? Hell No! This is great weizen beer. Once again, I’ll let others bore with the usual "Banana, cloves, bubble gum" descriptions.

500 ml bottle. Dark hazy amber color, nice foamy head that dissipates relatively quickly. Aroma of bananas, caramel and cloves, flavor much the same plus some yeast and a hint of citrus. A very nice dunkelweizen, one of my favorites.

A neat dunkelweizen. Me likes. (This beer rating was imported from FB and unfortunately lacks any further comments.)

Huge nice off white head. Excellent retention. Had to wait a while for the head to die down enough for me to swirl & pour the last inch of the beer. Very cloudy. Orange/brown. Aroma: banana & some strawberry. Taste: More of the same, strawberry is stronger though. Am I the only one seeing strawberry here? Tastes very good, finish is a bit lackluster with an odd bitterness that doesn’t fit as well with the rest of the beer. Mouthfeel is perfect for this kind of beer. Carbonation feels light, as I usually like it. Reminds me a lot of a less intense Aventinus Doppelbock, but tastier since I prefer strawberry-banana smoothies, er I mean beers, to straight banana ones.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2009 Nice label, cloudy in the glass. Good tart aroma. Robust, fresh, nutty taste - I love this flavor which is unique to hefeweizen - a mixture of wheat and a certain type of yeast, perhaps? Notes of citrus and clove. This puts me in the mood for anything between midsummer celebrating to holiday season gatherings, or just sitting by myself at the end of the day, with a little of this liquid reward in my favorite beer glass.
