COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Bottle from Peace St. Market, Raleigh, NC. Dark straw pour, with combined aromas and tastes of caramel malt, toffee, banana, cloves, and hops. More fruit as it finishes. Nicely done, and another winner from Ayinger.

an almost perfect mix, i say almost because there is always something on the horizon that may be better, 500 ml bottle, wish i had a case of this, not the usual fillingness of a wheat, which is good, no bitterness, banana is the most prevalent taste, but not overbearing, a bit of dunkle sweetness

Call me a generous rater or just think of me as a sucker, but i love an aroma that is as full and natural as this brew right here. It has a strong presence of banana and wheat while also giving a fresh bubblegum aroma. It’s almost like i just stuck my nose in one of those nickel gum ball machines. To bad the flavor isn’t as plump and sheer as the aroma had promised. The little minor descriptions of flavor start off with a mellow use of grain and semi bittering hop, while a ever present bubble gum and banana flavor is the most note worthy feature. Hints of clove, and other spice used as well as a squeeze of lemon too. Appearance is a dark auburn orange color with a thick murky haze while a thin coated head rest on top.

Big hiss as the cap comes off, mostly hazy orange-to-brown with some yeasties and little beads that form a succinct icy layer for the head. Big cloves waft on first whiff, followed by chocolate powdered bananas, sweet whole kernel corn, pepper and nutmeg. Spicing is hot with the aroma. Flavor makes good on the aroma predictors. Smooth banana crème and caramel chews provide the first layer. Cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and cloves spice up the next. Slight hint of brown sugared rum raisins and golden delicious apples. Sweet and graceful on the palate, departing with much of the same flavoring profile as it rode in on. I feared the effervescence when the cap hissed so powerfully, but each sip was met with a well-toned body. Finish is akin to ginger snap cookies. Pretty damn good.

Slightly cloudy golden pour with a puffy white head. Rich aroma of bananas, yeast, and clove. Excellent flavors of mor banana, butter, some musty wheat (in a good way), and bread. Almost like liquid banana bread. Delicious.

I enjoyed this beer enormously. Signature taste with fruity components kind of vanilla flavor with the malt. Beautiful taste.

Bottle. Poured an orange color with some haze. Head is thick and lasts forever. Strong wheat aroma with clove in the mix. Taste is light malt and fruits. Perhaps thin but still well made.

Apricot nectar color. Minimal white head. Huge banana nose, with clove, bread and light cinnamon. Banana, clove, walnut for flavor. Flavor is hugely pronounced.
