COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Mighty fine looking wheat beer with it’s big head and golden, cloudy color. Aroma of yeast and wheat and a flavor to match. This was sweeter than any wheat beers I have tried. Not sure I like that but the faithfulness to a wheat beer style is good. Definately worth the experience.

"Pour a cloudy brown color with a huge huge head what disapated quickly, leaving just a thin thin head. Aroma was sweet and banana and spices. Flavor was much the same, either yeast/wheat flavor to it. Would do this one again quality beer."

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2011 NO bananas in this. Dont know what everyone is tasting. I taste nutty, bitter sweetness. More bitter and perhaps walnut with a creamy pallet. The nose is rasin and mild citrus. There is a full wealth of wheat here and bread flavors. The oak aftertaste is also coupled with more walnut but no banana. Average yet good somehow session beer.

Rich fruity aroma and flavor make this one enjoyable beer. Cloudy amber body below an off-white, slowly dissipating head. Nose is dominated by fruity banana, but there are notes of grain, hay, spice, caramel and citrus. Flavor is sweet and only delicately bitter in the finish. Light to medium body with lively carbonation. The aromas and flavors work well together. Delicious.

A better dunkleweizen than I have had. Tastes very bubblegummy and wheaty. Pours a darkish hefe color that is ligther than most dws. Pretty good and smooth finish and taste. I enjoyed it. This brewery knows whats up.

Cloudy brown pour with a big creamy tan head that sticks around. Nice aroma of roasted grain and malt, banana and lighter fruit, yeast and spice. Flavor is nice as well, with the wheat, malt and spice really coming through. Soft and refreshing on the palate. A bit of a spicy finish, though nothing overpowering. Very nice overall.

500ml bottle. A great aroma of fruit and dough. Some hints of spices. The flavor its similar with a slight tartness that makers this beer refreshing. Very enjoyable.

Poured cloudy amber with a thick head that was unremarkable. The nose was earthy with a very mild but fizzy mouthfeel. The start was dominated by the fizziness but the finish was smoothe with a slight sour twist. I wouldn’t describe it as citrus but it is not far off and very faint. The very slightest hint of alcohol at the very end.
