3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 desurfer (1154) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - JUN 22, 2003
The second half of the bottle poured an opaque mocha brown, with a small creamy head. Flavor had a bite of lemon and a somewhat gritty palate due to the sediment in the bottle. I will be buying this again.

Looks great! Cloudy and with an amber colour. Huge thick head. Aroma of fresh bananas, wheat, caramel, salmon and lemon. Smooth and fruity flavour of yeast, banana, roasted malt, pears and lemon. Smooth, fruity and yeasty finish with a moderate carbonation.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rastacouere (5900) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 21, 2005
Forever lasting white head thrones above the delicate pure amber body. Initially seemingly simple nose: yeasty bananas and cashew nuts. It just grows on you and boasts a great palate, full, creamy with the finest bubbled carbonation, smooth and delicate. Plenty of ripe fruits (Bananas with a capital B, berries, pomegranate, orange, apricots) accompany the perfumey and bready yeast, elegant in itself and unveiling traces of cloves and even rye or grilled marshmallow sweetness rather than straight caramel. Good stuff, very malty, extremely clean with a confident balance. One of the most quaffable (while being pleasant) products I’ve encountered. Thanks Clark!

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2006 I’m not a big fan of the Weisse style, but this was the only one I’ve tasted that I would buy again
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 tiggmtl (4467) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2005
Banana, caramel and chocolate with some citrus tones and a lovely soft spiciness in the doughy aroma that seems malty but light. Hazy amber-tan coloured body is topped by generous off-white head that recedes slowly to a lasting cover. Caramel and banana flavours are apparent but somewhat subdued after the promise of the aroma. Citrus and cloves also make appearances with none taking the spotlight. Strong carbonation and medium-light body that is very dry and well-attenuated. Lager glass, fridge temp. Bottle (Winooski Beverage Warehouse, Nov. 2004).

Pungent banana and bubblegum aroma. Cloudy dark copper color with a big white head. Not as dark as i was expecting. There flavor is nice and estery, bubblegum and bananas, also some nice toasted bread. A very excellent dunkelweizen. Somewhat of a tangy aftertaste.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 sersdf (1008) - chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 6, 2006
i loved this beer. a bit too much head for my quite-mildly aggressive pour. a hefe in color/opacity, but several shades darker. it smelled like overripe bananas and bubblelicious. the taste was close to that. extremely sweet. i remember wondering if it was the most caloric non-RIS i’d ever had it is so sweet. i’m really growing into german wheat/summer beers, and this is exemplary.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2011 I am fond of this beer but tend to gravitate towards their Brau Weiss more. +++ Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle. The beer pours tan color - very opaque. Has a large tan head that slowly dissipates. There is a mild sour-sweet aroma. The taste is sweetish with a heavy wheat flavor. There is a bready, wheat taste that lingers on the palate. A very nice Dunkelweizen.
