COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Pours hazy orange with big white head; complex fruit bready aroma with hints of toasted banana and spiciness; medium to full body, high carbonation (though it smoothens very quickly in the glass); flavor is quite sweet, a bit caramelish at first, and fruity with actually quite strong notes of pear and only hints of banana; finish is dryish with quite a spicy feeling.

Bottle thanks to weihenweizen, pours a cloudy golden with a decent white head and nice lacing through out the glass, aroma is full of spices mixed in with clove and banana with a little bit of funk mixed in, the flavor has great fruit notes with the sweet malt and other spices, delicious.

Pours a hazy cloudy golden hue with a fast vanishing frothy light head. Aroma slight hints of apple. Taste on the light side but solid. Nice malty rush with somewhat of a fruit like finish. Can’t beat the price for this beer for the quality you get. I almost forgot why I once called Ayinger my favorite beer.

Bottle form 99. Cloudy brown-gold pour with a tall, rocky, off-white head that gradually fades to a short head and leaves moderate lace. Nose is wheat, bananas and spice. Medium-light body and light, fine carbonation. Ripe fruit, yeast, apples and cloves. Finish is long, lightly sweet and spicy. I’ve only had a few Dunkelweizens, but this one strikes me as very nice

Hazy amber with a quite lively tan head. Strong smells of apple cider, yeasty. Tastes is moderate fruit-yeast, soft but rich. Balanced flavor.
