COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Ayinger Ur-Weisse is an old-fashioned wheat with some fine roasted malt to give it more color and flavor than golden hefe- weisse. It has an immense crown of lovely foam held proudly above a robe of translucent amber. On the palate, malt and yeast predominate, with a delicious balance of fruit and bread-like yeast. The taste is complex, with suggestions of soft fruit, apple, and, in the finish, perhaps, even cloves.

Interesting thing: this beer is dunkelweizen, but its colour is not dark. It is muddy brown with creamy off-white head. Aroma is ob barley malts, wheat, bread, bananas and plums. Taste is similar complex, firstly sweet with fruity notes, in finish is little bitter with notes of bread and malts. But fruity notes predominate. Very good beer.

500mL bottle from Wegmans in Fayetteville. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a quickly disappearing off-white head. High carbonation in this one. Not alot of aroma but what I can detect is malty. Nice thick mouthfeel. Tastes of malt, a little caramel, bready notes, classic weizen spiciness. Finish is slightly bitter and malty. Very good beer, I would definitely buy again.

Just wow. Not totally dunkel but not a golden yellow weisse either. So what the hell is it? Brilliant! Complex with some roasted malt flavor and a bit more booze. This little amber weisse is something special. Bottle from Hopfen and malz Berlin

Old german type, high quality Ur-Wisse. In good old type bottle of 0,5 l. Honey caramel colour. Very much cloudy, almost milky, so nice… The top is in sophisticate beige white colour and is very big and stable. Dominant banana flavour, but also in some sophisticate way.

Bernsteinfarben, gleichmäßige Trübung. Frischhefiger Geruch, Karamell. Angenehme, nicht zu aufdringliche Süße. Vollmundig. Sehr schönes bernsteinfarbenes Hefeweissbier
