Bottiglia 33cl, comprata da grand cru rimini e bevuta a casa. Chiara torbida con bella schiuma fine e persistente. Corpo piuttosto farinoso, amara. Me la aspettavo un po' più significativa, da riprovare ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Bottle. Hazy amber with huge, dense white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with elements of banana, lemon and apricot. Flavour is sweet and fruity with notes of vanilla. Finishes fresh with a light bitterness and a citric touch to it. One of the better weizen bocks I’ve had.

schiuma bianca, fin4e e abb persistente, colore giallo dorato carico, ttorbida.

pours very hazy orange with a thin white head and lots of cloudy yeast. aroma is bananas and citrus. Taste is generally sweet with bubble gum, orange peel, and yeast notes. finish is dry and slightly tart. A nice weizen, certainly true to style. Overall very well balanced but not overwhelming in any way.

A: Pours a wonderfully cloudy dark amber color, with a two-finger off-white color head. Retention and lacing are respectable, but not amazing. Also has the nice touch of little yeast sediment specs rising to the head. S: Banana, cloves, bubblegum, coriander, a little apple, and a very faint noble aspect. Nothing groundbreaking, but it works very well. T: Very much like a quality hefe, but sweeter on the whole. The banana on the opening is quite strong, while it finishes with a solid tartness from the apple-esque flavor, combined with a bit of spiciness. Alcohol is hidden very well, almost perfectly in fact, making this one quite dangerous. M: Carbonation is on the high side...make that on the very high side (deriving from its ’bock strength’, perhaps?), but is helped quite a bit by a smooth, somewhat creamy body. Superbly refreshing. O: My only complaint is that the sweetness wears on me a tad as I progress through the beer. Otherwise, it strikes me as a unique twist on the classic hefe, and along with its stupid drinkablilty factor, makes it one that’s well worth diving into.

0.33 l bottle from REWE Budnik & Homberg, bottled in November 2014. Murky, golden yellow with a huge, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Fruity-spicy aroma of banana, clove, honeydew, vanilla and citrus. Sweetish, fruity-spicy taste of banana, honeydew, vanilla, bubblegum and some clove, followed by a short, slightly sourish and minimally bitter, smooth-yeasty finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Archetype-Weizenbock, great!
