Appearance was cloudly orangish gold with rocky white lasting 2 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are Hefe-like with clove, banana, hints of wheat, grain and citrus fruits. Taste are light lemon zest, orange, banana, clove, smooth wheat, no alcohol. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, average smooth citrusy banana spicey finish. A wonderful wizenbock, rich and smooth.

Light hazy gold with no head. Weak aroma & flavor, although the flavor is very good. I was expecting a huge, grand experience like I do with Aventinus, but this was rather disappointing.

Bright golden with beautiful bountiful head. Bursting clove and banana come wifting off the top for to smell with a nice brandy burn to inhale. The body is medicinally viscous with a light sparkle that doesnt quite offset its syrupyness, yet is still quite dexterous. A nice herby quality adds to the abundant spice and lingering sweetened palate cleansing sparkle. A touch of citrus leaves with a nice example of the style but falls short of what it could be. Still good though.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2013 Pours hazy orangey honey yellow with white head. The smell is great, sweet rich musty wheat and sort of a clove ginger zest. The taste is equally full with all the above and a nice lemony citrus ting. The carbonation sharpens the flavors with a nice lasting sweet lemon and full grain experience. One of my favorites even though I can’t drink it all the time it’s well saved it for select times.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2009 Aroma was notes of yeast, bananas, cloves and something a little funky, maybe like old shoes. Flavor is pretty lively, with bananas, citrus, cloves, vanilla, yeast and wheat. Pretty tasty brew, except for that faint hint on the aroma.

Yellow/orange color with nice head - looks like a standard Hefeweizen. Aroma is fruity-bananas, spicy yeasts. Taste is solid Weizen: Bananas, spices, but a bit of a lingering sweetness which might be due to the higher ABV. A very interesting Weizenbock because it is not completely overwhelming and rather close to a standard Hefeweizen.

Bottled. Hazy pale yellow in colour. Rich creamy and bubbly white head. The aroma is wheaty and yeasty with dried fruit. The flavour is surprisingly sweet with wheat and a alcoholic and yeasty aftertaste
