Pint at the Nags Head in Reading. Very dark, almost black with a nice cream bubbly head. Nice roast malt taste, smooth and enjoyable. Nice light chocolate aroma. Very nice, but slightly too sweet. Overall its pretty tasty.

Cask at the Magpie in Brentford, deep dark brown, chocolate and dried tobacco leaf on the nose, more chocolate, plus touches of blackcurrant and prune in the body. Finish is dry, yet sweet, light smoke, faint blackcurrant tang. Lovely.

Stopped regular rating 22nd Oct 2012 but had this on handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, 3rd January 2013 Pours dark brown with light beige head. A little bit of coffee, tangy, fruity but it is jolly decent. A bit of a grainy sedimenty feel, roasty, enjoyed this. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4
