500ml bottle from The MicroBar in Manchester. Golden-brown coloured body. Beige, patchy surface. Spotty lacing. Fruity hops to the nose alongside notes of toffee. Malt-fruity taste with leafs, caramel and a little bite of liquorice. Moderate bitter end. Fine version of the Brit bitter style (shared with Finn on the train from Manchester to York, 26.01.2013).

Cask at Halfway House. It pours deep red-brown with a thick white head. The nose is toasted brown bread, earth, leather, light caramel/brown sugar, fruit cake and dried fruit. The taste is smooth, toasty, some bitterness, light caramel, wood, brown bread, light spice and dried fruits with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Nice balance and great drinkability. A great bitter.

Flaske 0,5l kjøpt på Microbar, Manchester. Delt med Rune på tog mellom Manchester og York 26 Jan 13. Mørk gylden. Lavt skum som nesten forsvinner helt. God maltaroma. Smaken er syrlig malt. Svakt bitter ettersmak.
